Anne selling Yorkshire flags and roses on behalf of redcar ladies lifeboat association. It was her birthday, very happy birthday to you AnneGuisborough welcomed 40 Mayors from all over Yorkshire and the day started at 10:30. The proceeding began with a parade down Westgate, dignitary photographs in the splendid 12th Century Augustinian Priory Ruins and a service at St Nicholas Church with a song from local opera star Suzannah Clarke. It was a great day for all Guisborough residents, visitors and those attending the event.
The day ended with a dinner and guest speaker and proud Yorkshireman Dickie Bird providing the wit and entertainment; a common trait amongst us proud Yorkshire folk.
Thankfully the weather was lovely and all went splendidly for the wonderful occasion!
We hope to host many more such prestigious events in Guisborough!
